Who we are

INSUR.LIVE operates two connected surfaces: insur.live, the website of a licensed insurance practice, and map.insur.live ("Health Coverage Map"), a free, education-only tool that explains health-coverage rules in plain language. The Health Coverage Map does not sell insurance, does not recommend specific plans, and does not name insurance carriers. What you do after seeing your result is your choice.

What the Health Coverage Map collects

  • Answers you provide (state, ZIP code, household composition, approximate income, coverage dates) — used to build your coverage picture.
  • If you choose to save your result: the email address or phone number you enter, your saved answers (so your map can be rebuilt under current rules when you return), and your notification preferences. Immigration-related answers are handled separately under stricter internal controls and are never included in save links, URLs, or shared content.
  • Washington State: sessions are not recorded; saving is not available for Washington sessions.
  • Basic technical logs needed to run and protect the service (for example, rate-limiting counters). We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for their marketing.

How long we keep it

Saved results are kept until you ask us to delete them, so that your map can be recalculated when rules change. Save links themselves expire after 7 days for security; your saved record remains until deletion.

Your choices

  • Delete my data: email support@insur.live from the address you saved with, and we will delete your saved record and contact information.
  • Stop notifications: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to any text message, or email us.

SMS / Text Messaging Program ("INSUR.LIVE Save & Recheck Notifications")

If you opt in by entering your phone number in the save form on map.insur.live and checking the consent box, we may send you:

  • a one-time link or 6-digit code to open your saved coverage map, and
  • only if you separately check the reminder box — a short note when the rules or key dates behind your saved map change.
  • Message frequency varies (typically 1 message per save request; rule-change notes are occasional).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@insur.live.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the service.
  • Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
